Top Ten Tuesday - Top Ten Books At The Top Of My Summer TBR List

Happy Tuesday everyone!  I hope that you all are having a good summer so far.  I have such a backlog of books I decided to take a look at what I have there to pick the 10 that I have been waiting to read for some time.  This doesn't mean that I don't have other books SCREAMING at me to be picked up, and I'm not even going to look at my Kindle, these are going to be 'real' books, lol.  Here goes:

I know, I must be one of the last people in the world to not have read this one yet, especially since it is something that I would normally drop everything else to read.  Hoping to get to it very soon.

When I see some of the books on my shelves, I realize how much life has really gotten in the way.  Another one that has been on my list for a long time.

I have been totally in love with the show, just haven't read any of the books yet. Even though it is long, I don't think it would take me too long to get through it.

On my list of tbr books for many, many years, it is way past time for me to read this one.

My daughter read this as a group read in 3rd grade this year, and she has told me how much I have to read it.  Plan to get to it within the next few weeks.

Sometimes when I do lists like this I get sad that I don't have more time to read.  This is another that has been staring at me for years.  I finally have a smaller bookshelf for my room where the books that are at the top of the list are (the rest are on the other bookshelves in our family room downstairs).

Another one that I have heard tons of good thing about, and has been waiting for me to read.

I have quite a few classics on my to be read list, this is one of them that I hope to tackle soon.

Another 'classic' I have owned this one for years and want to read it soon, especially because it is so short.

I have heard more than once that this is the scariest book they have ever read.  I know the whole idea behind the book, the way it was written, and the colored words.  I know I will have to be able to read this one with the least amount of distraction, lol!

  7. Good list, I love Game of Thrones and I think watching the show first does help to keep all the characters straight in the books. I also loved Catch-22 it's one of my favorite books and I find it really funny.
