What initially got you interested in writing?
PJ: It wasn't an interest as such. I lost a dear friend to cancer in 2004 and was in a dark place for 2 years and then I vowed not to waste my life and to live life fully. At that point I wrote my first poem and I guess one led to many others
How did you decide to make the move into being a published author?
PJ: I honestly couldn't say it was at a particular point. I just know I was divinely led down this path and here I am
What do you want readers to take away from reading your works?
PJ: That my book/s are gifts you can open again and again, a lifelong reference book they can return to at any point and be inspired to open any page and through grace what is right for them will be presented
What do you find most rewarding about writing?
PJ: I am always in awe how inspiration dictates and I scribe. I read it back and it is so humbling that I am the medium through which these messages have chosen to be shared
What do you find most challenging about writing?
PJ: I tend not to find writing challenging because I only write when inspired. Whenever I try to think it all goes blank and nothing comes. So I let inspiration dictate and I'm happy to be the scribe
What advice would you give to people want to enter the field?
PJ: I really don't know if I am best placed to give this kind of advice. All I can say is follow your passion wherever it takes you, always believe in and trust yourself and accept within that everything is possible regardless of what anyone says
What ways can readers connect with you?
PJ: My website www.patsyjawo.com
@patsyjawo on Twitter & Instagram
