Rose City Reader hosts a weekly book meme called Book Beginnings on Fridays. Here are the details:
Welcome to Book Beginnings on Fridays, where we share the first sentence or so of the book we are enjoying this week. You can play along on your own blog, social media, or in the comments below.
If you post on your blog or social media, please link to your post in the linky below. Please link to your BBOF post not your home page or social media profile. If you want to participate in the comments, just leave a comment with the opening sentence of the book, along with the title and author's name.
If you post or share on social media, please use the #bookbeginnings hashtag so we can find each other.
MY BOOK BEGINNING:
I'm trying to clear space on my TBR pile...good luck with that. I've already purchased a few books this year, I just can't help myself. I am actually reading two books right now, If I Tell by Greg Olsen and Layla by Colleen Hoover. I will share from both.
I have Layla on my Kindle...and now I am eager to read it. I also love the sound of If You Tell, and anything set in Seattle draws me in. Here's mine: “THE WIFE UPSTAIRS”
ReplyDeleteI have this waiting to listen on audiobook- can’t wait!

DeleteThe first book is set in Seattle and it is true? I live in the area and haven't heard of it. Hmm. Must do something about that. My Friday post
ReplyDeleteThat Layla opening--wow. That really pulls you in right away, doesn't it? I haven't read anything by either Hoover or Olsen, although I have heard great things about both. I hope you enjoy these! Thank you for sharing. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteI've heard a lot of great things about Greg Olson - one of these days I'm going to have to start in on his books!

I've been eying that book, but keep finding something that interests me a bit more. Thanks for sharing.
