Book Blogger Hop - June 28

This week's question is:

So, would you read a book just because of the hype?

Would I? Of course, I have and will probably do it again. Sometimes I get lucky and I agree with what the popular consesus is about a book. For example, I loved The Hunger Games and Divergent, but hated Twilight and 50 Shades of Gray. I try not to put TOO much stock into what other say, but if I see a book that is being talked about EVERYWHERE, chances are I'll pick it up and give it a shot, at least at some point.  Do you have a book that was hyped and you didn't agree?  I'd love to hear!  Thanks for visiting my site:)

  1. I love your answer. I also like that you give the books a chance even if there's a chance that you might not like it.

  3. Great answer! I thought (and I'm probably gonna get punched for this) that Divergent and THG was okay...it just didn't live up the to hype for me though): I would read a book for the hype, but most of the time disappointed because I expect so much from it.

  4. Yes good thought provoking answer. I too read The Hunger Games and Divergent and now waiting for third. Knew I wouldn't like 50 Shades of Gray, and disliked Twilight.
